03 Nov Meet a Cyclist: Jeff Cohn
I’m just an old man that enjoys cycling with a hot, young trophy wife, 4 children, one grandchild and living the dream.
Why did you decide to become a cyclist? Why do you ride?
I began riding when basketball and running activities resulted in a broken down body. Riding allows you to get out and enjoy the world; it becomes a way of life, changing your diet, sleep, stress levels and adds a social element on top.
What bike do you ride?
Cervelo….Sram Red Axis, Lightweight or Reynolds wheels. A far better bike as compared to the rider.
What has been your favorite bicycle ride?
All of the Bicycle Passport rides, whether mountain bike or road. Great camaraderie, fantastic scenery, interesting places with the additional benefit of fun.
What are some of the riding goals you are setting for yourself for this season?
Maintain a semblance of condition at this time.
How often do you manage to get out on your bike?
I ride every day.
Do you go cycling by yourself or in a group?
I do training rides by myself and generally in the early morning. Otherwise with a number of groups for the social aspect.
Do you listen to music when you’re cycling? What are your favorite songs on your riding playlist?
Country (Keith Urban, Rascal Flats) Current Light Pop and Motown (Marvin Gay, Al Green, Temptations, etc.)
What’s your favorite snack for your rides?
Perfect bars, fresh fruit (grapes, bananas, plums, apples, etc.)
